Living Lightly UK began with our family's first experience of relocating to the UK with a child. Before moving, we'd never been to the UK and had very few connections here. We were unfamiliar with nearly everything—from daily routines to finding a place to live. Fortunately, friends already living in the UK, along with their wider circles, generously shared practical advice that helped us navigate this new chapter.

Even after our arrival, we were met with unexpected kindness from neighbors and newfound friends alike. Thanks to their support, we’ve built a sense of comfort and stability in our daily life.

This blog is a way to express our gratitude and to pass on what we’ve learned to other individuals and families preparing for a move to the UK. I share this information in both Japanese and English, and I hope you’ll find it helpful as you begin your own journey.
